I started working in the beauty industry over 10 years ago, at 16, during my part time job in the Shoppers Drug Mart Beauty Department. During this time, I was heavily involved in my high school theatre, sewing costumes, painting sets, applying SFX and stage makeup to the cast, and dancing in the chorus. I took these love and use them today in my photography.

After high school,  I took a year off, during which I modelled for my first pin-up shoot, falling completely in love.  Fall 2015 was when I started 'Tenille R Makeup Artistry' at the ripe age of 19, along with college for Art and Design. Even in my first week of college, I was rushing from classes to provide makeup on sets. Eventually, the camera fell into my hands, and became my main focus.

My business has always been a complete obsession. I have a strong desire to show people how beautiful they are, and to create something meaningful that can be reflected upon for years into the future. The human body, to me, is both sexual, and non-sexual in nature, and I adore capturing both sides.

I have created an unforgettable experience, unique individual to each client. While some clients are seasoned models and dancers, others are every-day people who have never been more vulnerable in front of a stranger, and are taking a huge leap! 'Honoured' in the best word I can think of to describe how it makes me feel to be chosen by my clients.

From heavily needed, vulnerable moments with your body, to quick photos for your next ad, I am here to offer you the experience you need.

When I'm not behind the camera or editing, I enjoy costume making, pole dance training, taking dance classes, and re-arranging my vintage 120 year old apartment! I also work 3-5 nights a week, dancing as a stage entertainer at strip clubs!

Things I love:

Costume Making & Sewing

Burlesque, Strip & Pole Dancing

Hot Coffee & Breakfast

RuPaul's Drag Race

Ballet and Dance

Painting & Art History

Web and Graphic Design

Our style is very natural. We always retouch skin, but do not change the shape of your body. All we edit is lighting and the photo as a whole. We do not alter body parts, make you smaller/bigger or change you in any way.

From poses, to sets, your session is created just for you. Our 535sf studio space hosts both simple and colourful areas with endless possibilities to create the perfect boudoir session, just for you.

We communicate instructions with simple and concise language that anyone can understand and follow, performing the pose for you while explaining, ensuring that nothing is lost in translation. Poses and sets are chosen based on what you outline on our booking questionnaire.

Tenille is an exceptional guide and photographer. She made the experience fun and open and warm, which was important to me since I've never had professional photos of any kind taken before. I felt at ease in her studio and would highly recommend Studio NOVA Boudoir. I will definitely be back!

I have gone to several Boudoir studios in Calgary, and Studio Nova was hands-down the best experience I’ve ever had!

I just got sent my proofs a few days ago and I started to tear up. I have never seen such beautiful photos of myself before!

I only have incredible things to say about the studio; everything from pricing, professionalism, to feeling confident and super sexy during a shoot. I will 100% be booking with Studio Nova again!

Shooting with Studio Nova is an incredible experience! Her studio is the most unique in the city, she is so sweet and her photography and posing skills are AMAZING! Definitely one of the best boudoir photographers in the city, I highly recommend booking a shoot with Tenille!
